 I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 1994. Over the years I have worked with clients of all ages and abilities. Among those are people searching for clarity, wisdom and a way to fulfill their dreams. I have also treated individuals in crisis and those from chronic mental disorders; people with dementia and their families and loved ones, and clients and families dealing with end of life issues in hospice. A Series of Wake-Up Calls
I want to tell you about a series of wake-up calls that led me in this new direction of my practice and perhaps you may become more aware of the inner guidance at work in your own life. I still continue to practice in these areas using talk therapy but in 2002 I started to practice yoga because of a back injury.
My life started to change as I began to relax and learn to center myself. I also started hearing words like ego and meditation. As a clinician, I became very curious about these words and started embarking on a new journey in my life.
I remember hearing about past life regression therapy throughout my career as a clinician but was never open to it and could not even get past the first 2 pages of "Many Lives, Many Masters" when first introduced to this book in 1997. In 2005, I decided to take a meditation course offered by a local psychic and during my first experience with meditation I had a regression to a past life. Obviously, this changed my world so I started studying more and more about this and started meditating on a regular basis.
Experience Life
Since that initial experience in 2005, I have learned the importance of mindfulness, letting go of the ego and experiencing life in the fullest by learning to "go within". As Carl Jung said "Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart... who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens."
I've known for years that as I aged, I would teach. I just thought it would be at a University teaching clinical skills to students. Little did I know that by learning to go within, I would be led to this whole new area of practice. My areas of practice will help you to change your life also. Please read on!
